Meditation is the practise of being present and realising whenever we get distracted by thoughts. Thoughts arise naturally within us, and there is nothing wrong with this. But our thoughts hold tremendous power – they determines our perception of reality and ultimately whether we experience suffering or joy in our everyday life. Through meditation we can learn to notice and separate from our thoughts so that we become less drawn into their energy. This way we regain a calm, peaceful mind and are able to show up as our best self in all other areas of our life.
